“The Taste of Pineapple Bread” by Manfei Li

Two films produced by Asako will screen at the Fantoche International Animation festival in September 2026.

Manfei Li’s “The Taste of Pineapple Bread” will celebrate its premiere at the festival. The bittersweet short about growing up and saying goodbye will screen in the Swiss Competition block 2. The short has already been accepted into several other festivals, and we’re looking forward to a successful festival run for the graduation film of this very promising young director.

Justine Klaiber’s “Lost Touch” will continue its strong festival run with a screening the same block.

Catch both films on the following dates:

Wednesday, 2nd September 2026, 18:30, Trafo 2
Thursday, 3rd September 2026, 12:15, Trafo 2
Friday, 4th September 2026, 16:15, Trafo 1
Saturday, 5th September 2026, 20:45, Trafo 2
