Asako Film at the Annecy festival
Spring 2025 was busy – Luise Hüsler and Frances McStea first attended the Animation Production Days in Stuttgart, where they presented Luise’s animadoc “Papierschloss” as one of four Swiss film projects represented. This year, Switzerland was the guest country at the ITFS Stuttgart, and Anja Kofmel and Frances also presented Asako Studio to the interested public alongside other Swiss studios such as Hélium Films and the Noisy Neighbors collective.
To round off the festival, “Chris the Swiss” was screened, the screening accompanied by a Q&A by Anja.
Later in June, Frances and Tamara Milosevic attended Annecy Festival and the MIFA market. Among other events, they supported the marketing work for the series “Nussbaumbande” (“Treehouse Friends”), which is currently in production, with Asako Film serving as service producer alongside Teneriffa-based animation company Media Solution.
