Since she was very young, Mila has struggled desperately to live up to her mother's high expectations. In her daydreams, she fantasises of an independent life. She wants to be like the swallows in the sky above the house, who can just fly away and be free. But her mother is ill and dependent on her help, tying her to the house.
When Mila realizes that her mother is only faking her illness, she makes a groundbreaking decision.
